So early this month i got my Himalyan Bs6 Sleet Black serviced from Oem center. My bike almost done 18k kms in which  I have completed almost all services from them . In which I the parts i got repla within warranty are 1-Monoshock got fully rebound and comperession was gone.  2-the OG odometer within 10k kms run.So it was time for the 5th service the paid onesI mentioned them in the job card no need of suspension oil replacement just do the bassic service. And again the monosock suspension issue was there .When i received the vehicle ,i test drive suspension they have stiffn it .But here comess the glitchess1 after market fog lamp which i have put external wiring harness the light stopped working 2 the dual horn which was after market also not working i didn't complaint asked them to add new horns.So here comes horrific incident after 2day i took out my vehicle for spin and a wash as next day i was having a trip to udupi (Karnataka).Suddenly the og thak thak sound camee  I was fully confused. As i am having the habbit of warming up the engine for 5-10mins then start the ride as oil pumps up .not reving in initial 10-15mins  this measures i take every time.After that  we opened as i was not prepared for thee royal Enfield pathetic service center. So i put all things aside . I put the vehicle in my friends workshop and started the workAs i was confused of sound in cold start engine was not making a single noise while i rev it up it was banging like  the head crank case will blast. So for precaution we opened rh side and lh side cover if anything is broken or any metal is there in chamber noo clue of anything . After that open head covers matched the timing valve clearence good .And here comes the confusion part  Rockers were not sizzedChecked camshaft having little bit of scratches So put new camshafts packed everything and crancked the engine and  a big noo again the sound was coming but little bit loww.So now we thought to put full timing chain and tensor after putting all thiss the sound was as new  oacked and engine and rode next day for around 600-700kms no issues . So i know many of u will say why didn't u give ur vehicle to service center in warranty . Because point one i was not having time as trip was round the corner and i lost the fait of service center as i am doing my service infront of me i am knowing that these parts are changed.So that was myy thaak thaak momeent.Happy riding 😁

Hello everyone! Few months back, I found a crack on my Himalayan 411 BS4 chassis near the neck portion. The crack had just developed and seemed quite risky to ride further. The authorised service center gave a huge cost of Rs. 30,000/- for changing the entire chassis (inclusive all charges). This was too big for my pocket. Also, the motorcycle was out of warranty. Hence, I reached out to many people to take some opinions regarding the possibility of welding to the effected portion. Through some reference I got to know about a professional motorcycle welder in Mira Road, Mumbai. As far as the work is concerned, the guy has done a good job by adding an extra metal plate on both sides with a specific shape to provide an extra support to the cracked frame. The cracked frame has also been welded. This Himalayan issue (especially BS4 variant) has caused troubles to owners and since 30K is not a small amount to pay, I am posting this to let you all know that a crack can be fixed (it depends on the extent of the crack). If anyone is facing the same issue, you can surely visit W-Bike Point in Mira Road. The owner's name is Mr. Salaam. Also, I would like to whole-heartedly thank Sam to share his advice to keep a check on the crack regularly, maintain suspensions and cone-set. A spray of WD-40 over the metal bolts, nuts and fitments after a shampoo wash would keep rusting issues away. Maintainence is constant process. Your motorcycle just needs a little care and it gives you back safety and joy. I am attaching the before and after images below.

Hello Riders, Hope all are doing great and exploring. One of my friend speedometer is making noise and when examined we noticed his speedo screws are loose from inside, he has clocked 12k something on his himu 411. My question is if he repaired it will his km remain or it will show 0 km. Sorry for the title I selected godspeed as it has minimum option. Thank you, Rohit. M
